Roger Longden

Founder and Managing Director

Roger’s always been driven by performance and results — whether in business or sport. Working closely with tech founders, he saw a recurring challenge: teams were often disconnected from the strategy, making it harder to turn ambition into action. He recognised that in a fast-moving world, where strategy can become outdated overnight, businesses need a way to stay aligned and adaptable. Discovering OKRs was a turning point. Roger saw how this framework could bridge the gap between vision and execution — helping organisations stay focused, fast, and resilient. That insight became the foundation for There Be Giants: a team of passionate OKR professionals dedicated to helping businesses thrive amid uncertainty and change.

Joanna Thirkettle

Head of Academy & Consultant

I’ve been with There Be Giants since 2021, helping Exec and Senior Teams create effective OKRs and help guide the right company culture for them to succeed. I also run our OKR Coach Academy, training people within organisations to become experts in OKRs for long term success, as well as how to support teams going through change. With my background in Learning & Development, coaching, and being a Certified Practitioner in Psychological Safety, I have a strong passion for working with people and helping them get to their “lightbulb” moments, especially now when it comes to OKRs.

The Glue

I’m the Giants ‘Client Growth Manager’ – known to the team at TBG as ‘The Glue’. Keeping things ordered and organised. I work behind the scenes with Roger and Lawrence continually striving to ensure a sleek and professional customer journey. I love engaging with new people, so my role as new lead on-boarding is something that I love to do. Never too busy to chat: Always available for coffee.

With a background in organisational and cultural transformation, Sarah has learned that success comes when we know our destination, listen to our people, and take them with us on the journey. As founder of Embed Inclusion, a CMI Level 7 coach, and an experienced leader in building knowledge, skills, and confidence in teams, Sarah's focus is on helping organisations understand where they are today, where they need to be, and what barriers stand in the way. A key part of this is using OKRs, committing to practical, measurable change that forges a sustainable future for organisations and their people.

Brett is a thought leader in the performance measurement space. Over the last thirty years Brett has assisted over 3,500 organisations from around the world and in all sectors. His clients have had as many as 250,000 employees and as few as 5. He is the co-founder of the first Balanced Scorecard application, has developed numerous measurement concepts, methodologies and has served on countless editorial boards and conference constructs.
