We had already investigated and looked at OKRs, even test run them on a small scale with a couple of our teams. We wanted to take them to the next level, and we realised we needed to call on an expert.

The situation

We asked Rasmus~ ‘What was it that lead you to seek our services? What was your challenge’?

“We had already investigated and looked at OKRs, even test run them on a small scale with a couple of our teams.  We wanted to take them to the next level, and we realised we needed to call on an expert.

Our challenge at the time was what an OKR actually looked like, and how to write and implement great OKRs.  We wanted to get the cadence right and align our teams so that everything and everyone was pushing in the same direction”.

“We got immediate feedback from Roger and afterwards we were given a report which was shared with the whole company.”

The impact

We asked Rasmus~ ‘What outcomes were achieved? What was the impact on growth’?

“It’s brought our Company objectives together. Our weekly management 1-2-1’s now integrates discussions around the OKRs into each meeting. It brings a clear spotlight on our objectives, what needs to be focused on.

We have now set top level objectives for management teams which are used as a guideline for what OKRs should look like across the Company”.

In conclusion

We asked Rasmus~ ‘What would you say to someone like yourself, facing the same challenge you had’?

“I would say that it’s a small investment of time and money compared to what could be involved if you try to go it alone. The issues we had early on, before we brought Roger on board, brought this to light. Bringing in There Be Giants saved the organisation a great deal of time and hassle. It’s a great way to align the organisation on what OKRs are and what the next steps are.

Roger did an excellent job and I have a lot of respect for him.  We’ll certainly be looking to call him back in 2020.”
